JOB DESCRIPTION: Scientist - R D
Description
The basic purpose of the Scientist is to perform a variety of complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulating. The Scientist is expected to follow validated or experimental analytical procedures with occasional direct supervision from a group leader. Following sample analysis, the Scientist is responsible for review and compilation of results. A Scientist is expected to possess a more thorough understanding of laboratory procedures and can reliably conduct more complex analysis.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Perform a variety of complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations for stability testing and other studies for analytical testing support. Perform work assignments accurately, timely and in a safe manner. Review and compile results from work assignments.
* Training on routine operation, maintenance and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOP's, and regulatory procedures and guidelines.
* Trouble shoots, either independently or with assistance, extraction and/or instrumentation problems
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
* B.S/B.A. in Chemistry, Biology or related field with 1 year of Elisa experience in a regulated lab.
* Or equivalent years experience in lieu of education
