JOB DESCRIPTION: Clinical Research Physician-Oncology

Clinical Research Physician-Oncology
As a member of the Oncology Product Team, the CRP will work within a multifunctional team to provide clinical expertise and leadership in support of registration and commercialization of the product. This involves working with the clinical development team, (including, but not limited to the Product Team Leader, Medical Director, other team CRPs, clinical pharmacologists, pharmacokineticists, clinical development associates, statisticians, scientific communications associates, therapeutic area consultants, systems group representatives, medical plans management, general legal counsel, intellectual property counsel, administrative assistants, etc.), with global affiliates and with product team marketing and market research to develop and implement a global strategy for the product. The CRP will also interact with external consultants, opinion leaders, and worldwide regulatory agencies, and will be the primary contact for all medical questions and requests related to the studies or indications.
KEY OBJECTIVES/DELIVERABLES:
* Become familiar and comply with local and international regulations, laws, guidance, (e.g. FDA, ICH, CPMP, etc.)
* Lilly policies and procedures and Good Clinical Practices.
* Partner with cross functional team members to develop clinical strategy and clinical plans.
* Must understand and keep updated with the pre-clinical and clinical pharmacology information relevant to the product team molecule.
* Become familiar with GMSO's successful launch archetypes and potential influence on the clinical strategy for the product.
* Provide effective leadership to the study development team by ensuring that team members optimally apply their skills and expertise for strategic and technical contributions while focusing own medical training and insight on the clinical elements of drug development.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Must have a MD or DO and be board certified or eligible.
* Clinical experience in the field of oncology.
* Fluency in written and spoken English.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES:
* Candidates must understand that we work in a highly regulated environment and must become familiar with AND comply with local and international regulations, laws and guidance.
* Experience with the clinical trial process.
* Strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, ability to function effectively in a team environment.
* Working knowledge of other languages is desirable.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
* Candidate must be willing to travel both internationally and domestically to the degree appropriate for the product in question.
