JOB DESCRIPTION: Manager I - Business Process
IS Manager I - IS Business Process - Natick, MA
This role will be focused on project management and managing and maintaining a tool suite of off the shelf and custom developed enterprise wide applications supporting Sales, Marketing and Customer Services functions globally. You will be responsible for working with Business partners, IS partners and external suppliers to develop project concept documents, business cases, evaluating approaches for delivery through various methods, recommend solutions, develop project plans, and manage/oversee project delivery. Domain expertise includes Cognos 7 and 8 reporting, month end management, project management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Partner with members of business functions to develop project concept documents and business cases to facilitate the project approval process.
* Develop detailed requirements with business partners
* Develop and lead the RFP process including vendor selection and negotiating contracts with external suppliers
* Perform project management tasks including scope, schedule, tasks, deliverables, dependencies and resource assignment
* Manage and develop staff related to the design and implementation of systems in a matrixed environment
* Managing and developing a staff of 1-3
* Tracks and communicates project status, plans, issues, timelines and action items for various levels of stakeholders within IS and with business partners
* Develops, monitors and reports key metrics of application Run Teams
* Leads the process for early detection of risks and implementation of mitigation plans
* Manages resolution among users of conflicting objectives and priorities
* Support and drive the testing and implementation of business applications by developing the test plan and coordinating project resources, business resources, and environments.
* Ensures development & management processes meet all applicable compliance and regulatory requirements
* Understand all applicable aspects of the software development life cycle and ensure adherence to the Boston Scientific policies governing it.
* Ensures cutover execution for implementing a new or modified solution into production is planned in detail, practiced and will not negatively affect business operations
Qualifications:
· Individual must have a minimum of 5 years experience implementing and managing applications and/or related business experience as well as knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.
· Cognos 7 and 8 reporting experience.
· Selected applicant must have strong analytical, project management, interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
· A Bachelor’s degree is required.
· PMP Certification is a plus.

Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System, and appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
