JOB DESCRIPTION: Director Global Strategic Marketing-Hematology
This position will have responsibility for the global commercial strategy for the hematology franchise.
The majority of the focus will be on plasmin, a direct-acting thrombolytic which is currently in Phase I/II trials for peripheral arterial occlusion. The position will require the evaluation of the commercial opportunity for plasmin In the US, EU, and JP markets, as well as prioritization of the follow-on indications. Candidates should have demonstrated leadership in a matrix organization as they will be responsible for providing commercial input into a cross functional project team. Responsibilities of the position will include conducting opportunity assessments, forecasting for new products, financial analyses, conducting advisory boards, designing market research plans, and KOL development. The position will be one of high exposure and will entail presentations to senior management.
The position will also provide input into the business development team in assessing licensing opportunities for hematology products.
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: Director Global Strategic Marketing-Hematology
Candidate must have a BA/BS and at least 6 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Candidate must also meet one of the following:
Minimum of 4 years of commercial development experience
Minimum of 4 years of healthcare consulting experience
Minimum of 4 years combined experience in clinical development and in-line marketing experience
The candidate needs to have excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders is essential.
An advanced degree (eg. PharmD, PhD, MD, MBA) is preferred.
