JOB DESCRIPTION: Director, Global Operations Supply Chain Support
Position Summary
This Global Operations position is responsible for ensuring service and supply support to a commercial region from the relevant sites in the global network. Works closely with the commercial regional/market and plant supply chain functions. Ensures smooth implementation of product change management initiatives. Provides continuous monitoring of product supply chain performance from the sites, provides support to the S&OP process, and works to anticipate and address issues before they occur or coordinate their resolution if/when they occur.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure operational implementation of product change management initiatives, ensuring sound transition strategy and transition inventory management.
* Participate in relevant S&OP meetings with the commercial regional/market groups and assist with supply/demand mismatch resolution, and tender opportunity analysis and implementation.
* Prepare analyses and recommendations for global allocation of scarce resources (capacity, materials, etc.) and coordinate with the regional supply chains among markets and regions as necessary.
* Work with regional groups on make vs. buy analysis, and plan the in-house transitions where appropriate.
* In cooperation with regional/market and plant supply chain groups, work to ensure planning parameters are set to optimize demand vs. batch sizes, campaign frequencies, and inventory targets.
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: Director, Global Operations Supply Chain Support
Position Requirements
The candidate will have experience in planning, scheduling, inventory management, cost analysis, and project management.
Position requires at least 7-10 years of related experience.
Desirable educational background is Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
