JOB DESCRIPTION: Director, Marketing
The Director, Global Marketing will be responsible for leading and driving global commercial activities for Baxter's Immune Therapy franchise (GAMMAGARD LIQUID/KIOVIG, GAMMAGARD SD, SUBCUVIA, WINRHO, PARTOBULIN, TETABULIN), a portfolio of leading brands that generate in excess of $1B in sales and is growing double digits worldwide. The Director will lead the global strategic planning process for the Immune Therapies portfolio and influence senior management on the strategic marketing direction for existing products and line extensions, including the development of commercial strategies (e.g. new partnerships, new investments) to meet both short-term and long-term goals. The Director will lead the development and execution of global commercial launch plans for new products, new indications, and life cycle extensions, and work closely with local and regional marketing colleagues to coordinate and drive successful worldwide launches for the franchise. Finally, the Director will be lead commercial representative for the Immune Therapies franchise in collaborating with Global Clinical and Medical Affairs, Project Management, Medical Outcomes Research and Economics, Operations, Regulatory and Communications, to ensure support and successful execution of global strategies.
1. Lead Immune Therapy global commercial strategy development and execution to support franchise near-term and long-term goals. Engage senior leadership regarding strategic issues, project plans, options and recommendations.
2. Drive the creation and implementation of a Global Brand Plan setting global commercial strategies, operational plans, and pipeline investments which are built based on global customer and market insights.
3. Drive the development and implementation of Global Commercialization Plans in concert with Local and Regional Marketing colleagues to support successful launches of new pipeline projects worldwide. Work closely with regions to support new geography launches.
4. Act as the commercial leader on pipeline projects, and work closely with Project Management to develop and drive customer requirements for existing pipeline projects. Conduct market assessment and develop business cases to support new pipeline projects.
5. Work in concert with Global Clinical and Medical Affairs members to identify and execute clinical and scientific programs to support global leadership and commercialization, including KOL development strategy, medical communications, and therapy development activities.
6. Work closely with Market Access, Global Market Planning, Competitive Intelligence, Global Communications and Business Development teams to provide commercial leadership and ensure consistency with franchise strategies.
7. Build a strong and cohesive team of future leaders through coaching, development, motivation and empowerment.
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: Director, Marketing
1. Solid strategic planning abilities and business acumen.
2. Solid track record in leading projects to successful completion and leading experienced teams (internal and external resources).
3. Strong ability to understand market trends, financial data, customer needs, and assess competitive intelligence data.
4. bility to develop and execute communication plans, messaging and branding campaigns.
5. Strong skills in the areas of pricing, reimbursement, and creative product/program development.
6. Masters degree required with minimum of eight to twelve years experience in marketing; health-care/pharma industry experience is a benefit.
7. Proven track record in successfully launching new products and managing project teams.
8. Background in strategic planning and business development helpful.
9. Experience in Immunology and Neurology helpful.
