JOB DESCRIPTION: Director, Tax Accounting Special Projects
The Director, Tax Accounting Special Projects reports to the Senior Director, Tax Accounting Special Projects with responsibility for providing tax accounting and analysis support on all M&A and internal restructuring activities as well as responsibility for working with the Senior Director Tax Accounting Special Projects on tax forecasting and projections and various other special projects related to the Company’s tax reporting obligations.
I. Overall Job Responsibilities:
• Analyze the tax accounting impact on transactions and planning projects and provide written analysis in support of technical conclusions (held-for-sale, discontinued operations, carve-out financial statements, restructurings, impairments).
• Perform technical research covering FAS109 and 141 R related issues.
• Maintain communication with outside auditing firm’s tax and audit team for review issues related to the activities noted above.
• Work with the financial planning group (FP&A) on tax forecasting and projections.
• Provide technical guidance support on tax accounting issues related to the Company’s M&A and planning functions.
• Special Projects.

State: 20%
International: 20%

• Tax Accounting & Provisions: 100%
IV. Candidate Profile:
• Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required.
• Minimum 8-10 years experience; combination of Big 4 and large multinational corporate experience required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organization skills and ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong teamwork ethic.
• Must possess the ability to interact with cross functional teams; including Controller’s group, tax planning, tax reporting and business development.
Travel: 10 – 20%

Requirements:
• Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required.
