The Director, Billing and Contract Compliance will provide overall program leadership in the development and implementation of a robust billing compliance program at Animas Corp, a DME supplier and provide contracting support across Commercial and Government channels for Animas. The main job responsibilities of this incumbent includes the implementation of appropriate evaluation, approval and monitoring mechanisms across functions. Responsible for the evaluation and improvement of current GCC programs, with a vision to implement an appropriate franchise level program. This person will be required to effectively interdependently partner cross functionally with Government, Commercial & Contract Services Groups, J&J Corporate Legal, Internal Audit, Corporate/OpCo/Regulatory Compliance and others in the organization and Operating Companies to champion compliance initiatives to assure all program requirements are met. Develop specific policies and procedures as it relates to all commercial and government billing done by Animas. Responsible for deploying effective training programs related to billing responsibilities as well as developing effective controls to ensure all compliance obligations are met. Develop policies and procedures that convey the administrative and process-oriented elements of governing contract compliance, as well as maintain those procedures and manage the people and processes that support their day-to-day implementation. Work closely with the Law Department on the continual maintenance of the Government & Commercial Guidance Documents as well as with the Compliance Department to detect and remediate areas of contract compliance for continual improvement. The position will serve as the Contract Pricing Committee Owner. This position will manage the exception handling process across franchises. This person will lead a cross company Compliance Steering Committee with the objective to develop policies in conjunction with senior management that enable the compliance to all applicable policies/regulations as applicable.
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: DIRECTOR BILLING CONTRACT COMPLIANCE
BA/BS degree is required, advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of ten years overall business experience with five years in biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry is required. Experience working with or familiar with DME Supplier standards is required. Experience working in government/commercial compliance, contracting including but not limited to operational experience in impact analysis and strategic overlays (Pharmaceutical, Device and/or Consumer) and timely/accurate remediation and adjudication, law or related area is required. Experience supervising projects using internal and/or external resources within a matrix environment is required. Demonstrated experience with HCC and GCC programs is required. Health Care Compliance certifications are preferred. This position will be based in West Chester, Pa and will require 15% travel.
