JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Representative - South Texas Territory

*Maintains sales at or above the established sales goal for assigned accounts.

*Develops and utilizes selling skills to identify and satisfy customer needs.

*Develops and maintains accurate account profiles (CRM). This information is used to plan activities and promotional efforts. This profile functions as a marketing and goal plan for the territory.

*Routinely calls on key customers and influence leaders to increase consumer demand for DVM products.

*Establishes and maintains accurate, up-to-date customer account profiles (CRM). Evaluates all customers based upon potential and probability. Classifies accounts based on these equations and develops and follows a strategic work or travel plan that ensures contact with all 'Key' accounts every 8-12 weeks.

*Organizes and conducts product training for customers and assists in the development of selling skills and product knowledge of distributor sales personnel.

*Make recommendations of new product needs or applications to management.

*Reports to management, on a timely basis, all important issues in the marketplace.

*Evaluates competitive products and reports to management.

*Identifies and maintains personal and telephone contact with key distributor reps within the territory.

*In addition to previously outlined activities/objectives, a Territory Manager may be asked to:

* Participate in various product and sales task force as requested by management.
* Represent TAH DVM Brand at national conventions and trade shows

Nature and Scope:

The Territory Manager is the 1st level field sales position and reports to the Regional Sales Manager. The incumbent is responsible for the achievement of sales goals and providing market information to management. This individual should have strong written and oral communication skills along with the ability to accurately understand. As a Territory Manager, basic planning and organizational skills are required under limited supervision. These include administrative activities and demonstration of a sense of responsibility.

Problem Solving:

The Territory Manager is frequently involved in problem solving decision. Major problem areas are:

* Identifying customer goals, problems and needs.
* Translating product features into benefits that solve customers' problems.
* Applying company policies and procedures.
* Effectively coordinating and implementing marketing strategies and tactics

This position has limited direct supervision and decisions are usually representative of company policy and procedures.


REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: Sales Representative - South Texas Territory

*A college degree or a minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience is required

*The ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing must also be demonstrated

*Presentation skills are vital to this position as many group presentations are necessary

*Computer competency is a position requirement - including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software expertise - as well as keeping current CRM data and analysis of accounts historical data.
