The Senior ROI Manager is an extraordinary leadership opportunity responsible for creating a competitive advantage position for Medtronic Villalba through a comprehensive New Product Lifecycle Management and Technology Transfer program and the development and advocacy of Lean Sigma/Design for Reliability and Manufacturing tools. The position offers responsibility and accountability for the facilitation of key strategic business results, R&D interface, development of technology portfolios and becoming a key change agent for the establishment of an agile lean culture based upon the effective implementation of core transformational tools such as six sigma, design for six sigma, lean, project management and other improvement techniques.
Directs, designs and implements a comprehensive product & technology transfer and process development management strategy. Functions as the central resource with design, manufacturing, quality and test, as the product(s) move to completion and distribution. Directs those involved in the design, modification, and evaluation of technology transfer or process development of a specific product or group of products from product definition through production and release (i.e. Product Lifecycle Management). Ensures that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals. Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control. Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends to product management activities. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: Senior Research for Opportunities and Innovations Manager or SR. ROI Mgr
1. Manages activities of a department or section with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and employees.
2. Accomplishes results through subordinate managers, supervisors or exempt specialist employees. Recommends organizational structures of functions and units.
3. Frequent contacts with equivalent level managers and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarifications. Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
4. Responsible for all projects assigned to the section(s) or department(s).
5. Acts as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
6. Directly participates in establishing and administering many functional projects.
6. Develops and administers projects budgets, schedules, and performance standards.
7. Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
8. Takes decision and makes recommendations that if made erroneouslly would normally result in critical delays and modifications to projects or operations; cause substantial expenditure or additional time, human resources, and funds; and jeopardize future business activity.
9. Provides guidance to subordinates based on organizational goals and company policy. Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization’s objectives and schedules.
10. Establishes operating policies and procedures that affect subordinate organizational units. Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to organizational policies.
11. Directs work of six or more other employees
12. Hires, develops, promote, and terminate employees
13. Evaluates employee performance.
14. Works and assures department personnel complies with company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, QSR, ISO, EEO, ADA, OSHA, EPA, etc
1. Bachelor Degree in Science
2. Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing
3. Five to seven years of management experience.
4. Five to seven years in product transfer or development or tech related area.
5. Fluent in english and spanish
6. Computer literate
