JOB DESCRIPTION: Manager, Financial Analysis
SUMMARY
Responsible for managing the financial planning and analysis efforts for the Commercial and General Administrative functions as it relates to budgets, forecasts and long-range plans and reporting. The candidate will be a key partner to the Commercial and General Administrative management, providing financial guidance and consultancy to the strategic and tactical operational activities of these functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Operations and General Administrative Analysis
• Manage budgeting and forecasting, including meeting with Cost Center Managers, Cognos input and review of forecasts and budgets for reasonableness and alignment with Company drivers.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and support to Cost Center Managers and Vice Presidents.
• Prepare and report monthly budget to actual analysis for Commercial and General Administrative operations
• Develop and track operational and financial metrics and communicate results to the leadership of these function as well as finance
• Represent finance in the leadership teams and/or committees that facilitate decision making in these functions
Core Team Representation and Reporting
• Represent Finance on select Core Teams, including keeping Sr. Director of Finance and CFO informed of any issues with the programs
• Update Financial Plans and Projections of these programs, including contracts and the Integrated Project Plan
• Provide Core Team reporting to commercial and development programs that do not have Finance Core Team Representation
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics focus.
MBA or CPA preferred
EXPERIENCE
6+ years experience in Finance and Accounting. Biotech/pharmaceutical or life sciences experience is required
