JOB DESCRIPTION: DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
The Director, Business Development will lead and execute strategic business development activities that increase revenue in international and domestic markets. He or she will generate ideas, conduct business assessments, and obtain scientific support to conduct scientific evaluations, perform financial analysis, craft business proposals and convince senior management to move forward with the proposals. Incumbent will lead commercial assessment of several transactions in cooperation with Licensing who will assist with intellectual property evaluations, term sheets, deal negotiations and contract preparation and execution.
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Basic Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong science background, and a B.S. in Marketing, Finance or MBA (preferred); 5+ years general business experience required. Background in healthcare is necessary. Experience in medical products is desired. Strong negotiation, financial, communication, project management and analytical skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications: MBA from a top tier university is required
