JOB DESCRIPTION: Procurement Supervisor, Capital and MRO
Job Duties:
Manage team of Procurement professionals responsible for purchase of capital projects (equipment and construction activities), on-site services, Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) supplies, I/T hardware/software, and specialized consulting services for Clayton and Raleigh, North Carolina area facilities, as well as Canadian office.
Lead Strategic Sourcing initiatives for assigned categories.
Personally negotiate Contracts/Agreements for large Capital Projects, conduct Business Reviews with Strategic Partners
Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Validation, and other stakeholder departments to ensure support of all requirements.
Collaboration with internal customers in development and preparation of specifications, SOW’s, RFI’s, RFP’s, Bid Analysis, negotiation of contracts and Supply Agreements, and analysis of market conditions and trends.
Ensure compliance to all policies and procedures, including contract management
Manage Supplier relationships and resolve discrepancies/ problems in contract execution.
Provide support to assigned cost centers, including establishment of Supply Agreements and timely placement of purchase orders.
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: Procurement Supervisor, Capital and MRO
Experience
BS/BA plus 8 years experience; highly prefer experience handling large capital projects.
Professional certification preferred (C.P.M.)
Clear understanding of Talecris manufacturing practices
Self –directed, highly motivated, detail oriented, results driven individual
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a team player
Proven ability to identify, quantify, and implement cost savings measures.
