JOB DESCRIPTION: Sr Engineering Manager
This position is responsible for managing a team of approximately ten Component Engineers within Medtronic's Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management business. The Engineering team is responsible for characterizing, qualifying, and demonstrating reliability of implantable micro-electronic components sourced from external suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS: Sr Engineering Manager
o Manage work, cost, method, and results of the Component
Engineering team responsible for implantable
microelectronics.
o Train, engage, and develop Engineering talent to achieve
desired business results
o Interface with Product Development Managers to ensure
team deliverables and committments are consistently met
o Perform ongoing performance management and feedback
o Actively participate in setting strategy for Component
Engineering team
o Ensure Engineering team executes to established strategies
o Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline.
o 5 years Management experience within Semiconductor
or Electronics industry.
o Working knowledge of quality improvement statistics.
o Effective written and verbal communication skills.
o Strong performance management skills.
o Strong analytical skills.
Minimum 1 year experience in the following:
o Project Management
o Product Development
o Microelectronics Packaging (Asian Based Suppliers)
o Manufacturing Engineering
